Scnr (“the app”) is a document scanner that runs entirely on your device. This policy explains what information the app processes, what it does not collect, and which third-party services are involved.
Everything you create inside Scnr is stored locally on your phone:
None of this data is uploaded to any server, cloud, or backend. The app does not have a user account system, and there is no sync to any remote service.
Optical character recognition (OCR) and document edge detection run on-device using Apple Vision (iOS) and Google ML Kit (Android). These frameworks perform inference locally; Scnr does not send your images to any server for analysis.
Scnr integrates with a small number of third-party SDKs that may process limited data:
When you purchase Scnr Premium, RevenueCat handles the subscription lifecycle. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, app-generated identifier together with the purchase receipt issued by Apple or Google. No personal information (name, email, etc.) is provided to RevenueCat by Scnr. See their privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
If you use the free version, Scnr shows banner and interstitial ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect limited information (advertising identifier, device model, coarse region) to serve and measure ads. Scnr requests non-personalized ads by default. Premium users see no ads, and no ad SDK activity occurs for them. See Google’s ads privacy policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
On iOS 14.5+, Scnr asks for App Tracking Transparency consent before any tracking identifier is used. You can withdraw this consent at any time from iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Scnr does not see or store your payment details. Refer to Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies for how they handle transaction data.
Scnr does not integrate any analytics SDK. We do not track screen views, taps, usage time, or any other behavioural metric.
Scnr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because Scnr stores your data locally, you control retention. Deleting a document inside the app removes it from your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all remaining Scnr data from your device.
If you cancel your Premium subscription, RevenueCat retains the purchase record in accordance with its policy. You may request deletion by contacting the developer.
